A huge variety of different team development interventions are available, and until recently they have all typically fallen under the loose and misleading term of ‘team coaching’.  

Team coaching is now recognised as a distinct and separate field of team development, with several levels of practice. It is essential to have clarity about the nature and form of the different kinds of team development interventions, so that there can in turn be clarity of expectations, outcomes and value created, and suitable contracting for the work to be done.
